Lisa Seegmiller & Family: The Magic & Memories of Christmas

Lisa and her family help kick-off the Christmas season by performing their beloved Christmas favorites at the historic St. George Tabernacle in St. George, Utah. Lisa's mother, Salt Lake-based, Juilliard-trained pianist, Barbara Keiser Hopkins, will join them as a soloist and an accompanist in the program. Lisa hopes the concert will help those who attend to feel the Spirit of Christmas as she reminisces about the magic and memories of Christmas.

Lisa will take you on a musical "Trip to Italy" with the Southwest Symphony as she pays tribute to Puccini, the composer whose masterwork, La Boheme, made her career. Lisa starred as Hollywood film director Baz Luhrmann's leading lady, Mimi, in his historic production of Puccini's most beloved masterwork La Boheme on Broadway, for which she won a Tony Award. Having performed the role of Mimi more times than almost any other soprano in the world, Lisa is one of the most authoritative interpreters of this role in recent history, so you won't want to miss her rendition of her favorite of Mimi's arias.
